6/16 Tahquamenon Falls, MI

The biggest falls in Michigan is in the Upper Peninsula, not too far from Whitefish Point.  I remember coming here as a child and walking along the river.  We also came here on snowmobiles many years ago.

There are two parts to the falls: lower and upper.  The first few photos are of the lower falls.  What you cannot see is the hoards of mosquitos and my grandkids and me wearing mosquito nets over our heads!  I bought these a couple years ago for Florida and had forgotten about them, but they came in handy. Had I had more of them, I could have sold them at a tidy profit!

The upper falls are four miles down the road and a short hike through the woods from the parking lot.
