Finally catching up on some of the state parks I stay at when I am in Ohio. I cannot stay at my son's house because they do not allow RVs to be parked overnight, so I bounce around several state parks that are not too far away.
One that I recently discovered is Geneva State Park, and it is directly on Lake Erie about 45 minutes east of Cleveland. It's farther away than I prefer, but being directly on the lake with terrific views makes it worthwhile occasionally. Another big advantage is that the part of the campground that is on the lake has been completely redone with all brand-new full-hookup sites.
The only serious negative about this place is that the new roadways are too narrow. I was able to back into my space, shown below on the near left, but my front wheels had to go on the grassy shoulder and almost down into the ditch. Bigger vehicles have even more difficult times.
It was just a few steps from my campsite to the fence overlooking the lake. (There was about a 6' drop-off, hence the fence protected small children.) There is not much of a beach here, but there are good patches for swimming and the water looked clear, but this was a very calm day.
